NBC’s legendary sitcom, “The Office,” is set for a comeback with a reboot confirmed by Peacock. However, unlike its predecessor, the new series will shift its focus from the iconic Dunder Mifflin Paper Company to a struggling Midwestern newspaper.

Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content at NBCUniversal, expressed anticipation for the new series, stating, “It’s been more than ten years since the final episode of ‘The Office’ aired on NBC, and the acclaimed comedy series continues to gain popularity and build new generations of fans on Peacock.”
The reboot, spearheaded by the creative minds of Greg Daniels and Michael Koman in collaboration with Universal Television, promises to introduce audiences to a fresh ensemble cast within the comedic realm of a daily newspaper.
Originally airing in 2005, “The Office” quickly became a cultural phenomenon, running for nine seasons until 2013 and amassing a total of 201 episodes. Its accolades include multiple Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and numerous Primetime Emmy Awards.
