The European Space Agency Astronaut Thomas Pesquet has taken many photos of the earth and so on since arriving at the International Space Station (ISS) earlier this year.
Some of his photographic efforts are amazing, but now French astronauts change his attention on a new project that involves capturing images that seek to convey high speed where the space station is chaos.
ISS has an orbital speed of around 28,000 kph – which is around 17,400 mph. Or in other ways, around 7.6 km (4.8 miles) per second.
Pesquet recently posted the first photo (up and down) of his new project. It requires 30 seconds exposure and shows parts of the space station as the earth and a streak star through the frame.
“Images of some photo technique trials I experimented. This gives the impression of the speed we fly in (28 800 km / hour!). This picture is one exposure of 30 seconds at night. The path you see is a star, and city lights . Will come more! “
ISS is around 400 km (250 miles) above the surface of the earth, and orbits our planet every 90 minutes or more. This means that the Earth orbit station is around 16 times in a 24 hour period.

Despite the amazing speed, astronauts at the space station did not detect anything unusual while living there.
