Convicted Mexican Drug Lord El Chapo’s Wife To Plead Guilty: Report

The times, citing an unnamed person, familiar with the case, reported that Emma Colonel AsoPuro would appear in the Federal District Court in Washington tomorrow morning to enter his appeal.

It is expected that Emma Colonel AsoPuro, Kingpin’s wife of Narcotics Mexicanos, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, is guilty this week to the federal charges of helping him run the notorious drug cartel of Sinaloa, reported on Tuesday of New York Times
The times, citing a family anonymous person with the case, reported that Colonel would appear in the Federal District Court in Washington on Thursday morning to enter her appeal.

The guilty agreement of it will not require that she cooperate with the US authorities. UU or provide information about allies, business partners or family members of her husband, times report.

Reuters could not immediately confirm the report. A spokesman for the United States Department of Justice refused to comment, and the administration of drug compliance had no immediate comments. The lawyers for Colonel did not respond to requests for comments.

Colonel, a former beauty queen of 31 years, was arrested at the Washington Dulles International Airport in February.

Prosecutors accused her of working with her husband when running the drug cartel and conspiring in the infamous escape of July 2015 of the Altiplano de México prison through a tunnel of long, excavated from the Cell of her.

After a high profile test in a federal court in Brooklyn, New York, Guzmán, 63, it was convicted in February 2019 to plan a multi-million dollar drug company. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years and imprisoned in the Federal Prison of Supermax in Florence, Colorado.

Colonel, a citizen of Dual U.S.-Mexico, married Guzmán in 2007 at 18. The couple has twin daughters.
