Magma Poonawalla Group Fincorp appointed Vijay Deshwal as CEO of Group

Vijay Deshwal has more than six years of experience in financial institutions including the NBFC and is responsible for conceptualizing and encouraging accountability strategies for corporate ecosystems in the bank.
The Poonawalla group that has acquired Magma Fincorp announces Vijay Deshwal as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company said that deshwal would control the loan and housing financing business along with the insurance business and will operate outside the Pune office.

In his last role, Vijay was associated with ICICI Bank as head of a business responsible for the rapidly developing service sector business including new age businesses that focus on technology and digital intervention. He is a postgraduate of the Institute of India Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is an experienced banker with a track record of two decades.

He also led the debt syndication business for ICICI Bank for more than five years.

Poonawalla Group recently acquired a 60 percent majority shares in Magma Fincorp through its parent company that rose solar ownership in May.
