Johnny Wactor, beloved for his role as Brando Corbin on ABC’s General Hospital, met a tragic end early Saturday morning in Los Angeles. The 37-year-old actor was fatally shot around 3 a.m. when he approached individuals near his car, mistakenly believing it was being towed. According to his mother, Scarlett Wactor, the masked suspect opened fire without provocation, and Wactor did not resist or engage with the assailants.
The LAPD reports that the suspects were in the process of stealing a catalytic converter from Wactor’s vehicle when the incident occurred. They fled the scene immediately, and no arrests have been made at this time. Wactor was rushed to the hospital but was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
In addition to his notable role on General Hospital, Johnny Wactor had a diverse acting career with credits in projects such as Siberia, Army Wives, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, and Supercell. He began his television career with Army Wives in 2007, and his performance in General Hospital marked a significant breakthrough in his career.
