Sean Diddy Combs, an influential yet highly controversial American rapper, has been implicated in harassment allegations against his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, through newly obtained CCTV footage. The video substantiates claims Cassie made in her November lawsuit.
In a recently viral clip, Sean Diddy Combs is seen engaging in a distressing altercation with Cassie Ventura. The 2016 surveillance footage captures Diddy grabbing and kicking Cassie, aligning with the accusations detailed in her lawsuit from last year.
The video shows Cassie emerging from a hotel room and heading toward the elevator, followed by Diddy, who is wearing only a towel around his waist. Upon seeing her, he grabs her neck, pushes her to the ground, kicks her aggressively, and takes her belongings. Cassie lies motionless for a few seconds before Diddy kicks her again and drags her back to the room. Although he momentarily releases her, he soon resumes the attack with an object from a nearby table as Cassie runs toward the elevator.
In response, PEOPLE reported comments from Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor:
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” said Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor.
Cassie’s lawsuit from November 2023 describes a similar incident at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The lawsuit details an event from around March 2016 where “Mr. Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye.”
The lawsuit further states:
“After he fell asleep, Ms. Ventura tried to leave the hotel room, but as she exited, Mr. Combs awoke and began screaming at her. He followed her into the hallway, yelling, grabbing at her, and throwing glass vases, causing glass to shatter around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”
Cassie managed to escape and took a cab to her apartment, as clarified in her lawsuit.
