The allegations, part of an investigative report by Tortoise, claim that Gaiman engaged in “rough and degrading sex” with two women in their early 20s. Gaiman has strongly denied these accusations.

The accusations against Gaiman come from two women who were reportedly in consensual relationships with him. In the podcast titled Master: The Allegations Against Neil Gaiman, both women shared their experiences, alleging that Gaiman subjected them to forced sexual encounters.
One of the women, identified as Scarlett, stated that in 2022, after being hired as Gaiman’s child nanny, she was involved in “painful, rough, and degrading penetrative sex” with the author. Scarlett has reportedly provided messages and notes that she claims support her accusations.
Gaiman, however, has categorically denied these allegations, insisting that the relationship was consensual and did not go beyond “heavy petting.” He refuted any claims of abusive behavior.

The second woman, referred to as ‘K,’ met Gaiman at a book signing when she was 18 and he was 40. According to her account, the two began dating when she turned 20. K claims that Gaiman sometimes engaged in “painful intercourse” that she neither desired nor enjoyed.
Gaiman addressed these accusations in the same podcast, calling them “extremely disturbing” and maintaining that the relationships were consensual.

Tortoise, the podcast host, discussed the complexity of the allegations, suggesting that Gaiman believes K’s claims are rooted in regret over their relationship, while Scarlett may have been influenced by a condition associated with false memories. However, Tortoise also pointed out that Scarlett’s medical records and history do not support Gaiman’s version of events.
