In the midst of her divorce, American attorney and TV personality Rachel Lindsay has addressed the spousal support request from her estranged husband, Bryan Abasolo. Despite her reservations, Lindsay has agreed to provide financial support, proposing a monthly payment of $9,882, contingent on her monthly earnings.
According to a TMZ report, Lindsay has updated the divorce agreement to reflect this offer. The podcaster has revealed her monthly income to be $61,019, while Abasolo, a licensed chiropractor, earns $13,413 per month.
Bryan Abasolo is currently seeking spousal support, claiming in his divorce documents that his monthly income is just $16,000. However, Lindsay has contested this, arguing that he earns more, particularly from his social media activities.
Additionally, Lindsay has pushed back against Abasolo’s request for her to cover his legal fees. In her divorce petition, she stated, “I am not flush with cash, as he believes me to be,” adding that she cannot afford to pay $75,000 for his attorney. She emphasized that doing so would deplete her resources, leaving insufficient funds to cover her own legal expenses.
Lindsay also shed light on the reality of their marriage, countering Abasolo’s portrayal of their lifestyle. She clarified, “The marital standard of living was nowhere near as glamorous as Bryan portrays it to be. We rarely saw each other or even lived together during our brief marriage.”
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo, who gained fame from their appearance on The Bachelorette, tied the knot on October 4, 2019. However, their separation was finalized on December 31, 2023, with the divorce filing following shortly on January 2, 2024.
