In a surprising turn of events, Danielle Olivera announced on Tuesday, June 25, that she will not be returning to the cast of the popular reality series Summer House for its upcoming Season 9.
Danielle took to Instagram to share her heartfelt decision, writing, “I wanted to share that I’ve come to the heartbreaking decision to not return as a full-time cast member on the upcoming season of Summer House.”
While Danielle did not specify a concrete reason for her departure, she emphasized the importance of staying true to herself and her passions.
In her Instagram post, Danielle reflected on her journey with the show, acknowledging the benefits of her participation, but ultimately feeling that she could not bring her full, authentic self to the screen. “If I can’t put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it doesn’t feel right doing it in a full-time capacity,” she explained. She added, “The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you viewers deserve that. Right now, I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me—my company, my people, and of course myself.”
Danielle also expressed her deep gratitude to the production team, network, her fellow cast members, and fans for their unwavering support and understanding of her difficult choice to leave the show. “I was fortunate enough to be able to take a step back in Season 4 as well, and it ended up working out better than I imagined,” she reminisced.
In terms of her career, Danielle appeared in the 2023 film Scorched Earth, playing the role of Cecile.
