Sabrina Carpenter demonstrates a clear distinction between her personal and professional life, and she’s known for steadfastly supporting her friends.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Sabrina defended her friend and renowned producer Jack Antonoff. Antonoff, celebrated for his collaborations with mega-artists like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey, has recently faced online criticism. Following the release of Taylor’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, some netizens accused Jack of contributing to a homogenized sound in modern pop music.
Interestingly, Carpenter was one of the opening acts for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Despite the backlash from some Swifties towards Antonoff, Sabrina had a blunt response: “F*ck them all.”
During the interview, Sabrina praised the 40-year-old producer, saying, “I think he’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. When he’s in a room, he’s able to literally touch every instrument in the room and make it sound magical. He also works very fast, which I really appreciate because I work very fast.”
Sabrina also addressed some online rumors in the same interview. There had been a lot of speculation about her involvement in a campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS, especially given her close relationship with Taylor Swift and Swift’s well-known feud with Kim.
To clarify, Carpenter stated that Swift had no issues with her participation in the collaboration with Kim Kardashian. “I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end,” Sabrina said about Taylor.
For those unfamiliar, Sabrina and Taylor have been good friends for some time. Besides opening for Swift’s Eras Tour, Sabrina was also seen with the 34-year-old singer at a Kansas City Chiefs game, where Swift was there to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
