With Aaron Korsh’s Suits experiencing a revival in popularity, fans are eagerly hoping for more content from the series. While a full continuation may not be on the table just yet, a spinoff of the USA Network show is in development. During ATX’s Suits retrospective, Mike Ross actor Patrick J. Adams addressed the potential for a reunion. He was joined by fellow cast members Sarah Rafferty, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, and Abigail Spencer.
Adams expressed his interest in a reunion movie, despite acknowledging that the show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, is currently focused on the spinoff. Adams shared,
“I don’t have any power or authority, but there is a ‘Suits: LA’ spinoff in the works, which is Aaron’s main focus right now. However, he is definitely interested in the idea of getting the original cast back together. Whether it can happen depends on many factors, but is it possible? I believe it is.”
Jeff Wachtel, the former president of USA Network, also shared a memorable insight about Sarah Rafferty’s character, Donna. He recalled how Donna was initially not meant to be a permanent fixture on the show.
“Gabriel Macht called and mentioned this incredible actress for the role of Donna. He said she wasn’t going to be a regular but would be Harvey’s assistant. I read her, and instantly saw the importance of her role in the pilot. The way she shifted her attention between Mike and Harvey felt so authentic. You could sense she was the glue holding everything together. It’s amazing how things can come together in unexpected ways.”
