Dan Schneider, a prominent American producer, has been accused of misconduct during his time at Nickelodeon. These allegations were brought to light in the Investigation Discovery documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” which shed light on Schneider’s behavior while he was with the network. Lori Beth Denberg, known for her role in “All That,” has recently come forward, accusing Schneider of subjecting her to inappropriate behavior.
Denberg, now 48, disclosed that during her tenure on “All That” from 1994 to 1998, Schneider acted inappropriately towards her. She further revealed that on her 19th birthday, Schneider showed her pornographic material on his computer during a meeting in his office. Denberg expressed feeling targeted for the first time by Schneider’s actions.
In response to these accusations, the 58-year-old Schneider vehemently denied them, labeling them as exaggerated and mostly false. While acknowledging past mistakes, Schneider stated that he cannot apologize for actions he did not commit.
These allegations surfaced following the release of the controversial documentary “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The documentary highlighted the abuse endured by child actors on Nickelodeon sets during Schneider’s tenure, spanning shows like “The Amanda Show,” “Drake & Josh,” “iCarly,” and “Victorious.”
Schneider criticized the timing of these allegations, especially in light of his recent defamation lawsuit against “Quiet on Set.” He deemed the pursuit of allegations from nearly three decades ago suspicious, especially following his legal action against the documentary for being misleading and false.
