Hill, born on December 17, 1944, in Blackley, Manchester, England, had a illustrious career spanning across film, television, and theater. He gained acclaim for his role as Yosser Hughes in the British TV drama series ‘Boys from the Blackstuff,’ which won him a British Academy Television Award.
