Hamilton claimed his landmark 100th victory to return before Verstappen in the title of the title look around this season.
Hamilton, who arrived at Paddock was wearing fresh kilt from attending Paris Fashion Week, insisting he didn’t feel the hot championship.
“I feel easy because I have another outlet so I can blow steam in a different way,” said the 36-year-old.
“The most important thing is to return to a fresh racing environment, recover, positive and I don’t really have worries. I can arrive and like to do my work.
“I’ve been doing this for a long time so I found a way to make me I think and I know what can also give me a course. I know what makes me tick and I will stay on them.”
Reflecting in the victory, he added: “I returned to England, ran around London, and the people shouted ‘one hundred’.
“Everywhere I go super supportive people – in Paris too. I didn’t expect it but it was fun to see.”
Verstappen bid to win his first title and the first Red Bull since 2013.
But the 24-year-old child has understated the pressure against the most decorated sports driver.
“Winning the championship will not change my life,” he said. “For me there’s not much to worry about.
“I know that my team does the best they can and they expect it from me too. We are fully committed to making this success together but you cannot impose things.
“You have to work hard and together and we will find out at the end of the season where it puts us. But is it the first or second, we don’t know.”
