Mumbai: Mumbai police have registered a case against the executive director of the T-Series company Bhushan Kumar, Baron’s music son of Late Gulshan Kumar, for allegedly raping a woman with a promise to give a job to him, said an official today.
The violation was registered at the DN Nagar police station in Andheri (West) based on complaints submitted by the 30-year-old woman, he said.
However, the police did not provide details about when the alleged crime occurred.
In accordance with the complaint, Bhushhan Kumar allegedly raped the woman with the pretext of giving her work in several of its own company projects, the official said to the news agency about Indian wealth.
The woman said that she was cheated by him and therefore he approached the police, he added.
According to the official, Bhushan Kumar has been indicted under the part of the Indian Criminal Code (Rape), 420 (cheating), 506 (criminal intimidation).
The T-series is a music record label and a film production company founded by Gulshan Kumar, also known as the ‘King’s Cassette’, which was shot dead in 1997 in Mumbai’s Andheri.
